The travelling doorbell...

I now live in the building of my church, so I have to have the front door closed at all times, since people can walk around in the house without me noticing. A few weeks ago, I bought a doorbell, so that people who don't have my phone number can come visit me too! it was a wireless doorbell, and I had to stick it on the glass door with tape. You know, that kind that is sticky on both sides, and is really strong - made for outdoor use.

Every second wednesday we run our youth ministry down in the basement, and we were doing this the same wednesday that we had the funeral of one of our previous elders. Because of the funeral earlier that day, there was a girl called Malene who was visiting. Malene also wanted to check out the youth ministry before driving back south. While she was here, some guys stole my doorbell and stuck it on a random car, parked in front of the door... This car turned out to be Malene's car, but the boys didn't know this. By that time, Malene was late for a ferry, so she left in a hurry...yes...WITH my doorbell stuck on her car...

Somewhere on her way home, she discovers the doorbell, and sees by the name tag; it's mine. In the meantime, I have discovered that my doorbell is missing, and I'm pretty annoyed. The doorbell was not that expensive, but it's still money...the church's money. Besides, I would have to drive for an hour or so, including a ferry, to get a new one. So I'm praying to God that He would help me fix the problem. Someone randomly going to the city, someone finding a doorbell or having one in a closet somewhere... just some solution to the problem. The next week, an other girl, Ingvild, who couldn't come to the funeral because of examinations in school, comes to visit.

Then, one day, she comes up to me and tells me there was this girl at the airport in Oslo (Oslo is far from here...) who came and gave her something to give to me, and she pulls my doorbell out of her pocket. Shocked at what I was seeing, I just couldn't say anything. What the heck had happened???
Finally she tells me the story, that Malene and her are good friends, and decided to meet up at the airport, where Ingvild was waiting for her plain, since Malene was in the area. The doorbell got handed over, and finally brought back to me.

You can call it a coinsidence if you want, I call it a Godinsidence.

Yet another kinda pointless update....

What do people really write in these blog things?? I mean, I don't travel around at the moment, so even if I find my life quite exciting, it's the same thing that happens every week. Youth ministry, kids ministries, bible stufy group, worship team, work at the kindergarden, and a bit of preching from time to time, is what keeps me busy, and now it's less than 19 days until Jon arrives!!!! Yesssss.....!
