It was afternoon the 12th of july 2007... A little boy decided to make the step we've all been waiting for. He stepped out into the world to bless the rest of us with his beautiful face. His name is Daniel, and with him in the world, I'M FINALLY AN AUNTIE!!!!!! WOHOOOO!!!
Seriously, he is the most gorgeous little kid I've ever seen!!! I'll post pictures some time in the future.
Blessings!

The most beautiful girl in the planet...
Well, for a week now Mari has been down south in Stranda, while I am up on her family farm learning what it means to be a Norwegian farmer... If you didn't guess, this is Mari's fiance Jon.
She hinted to me that I should update this for her, since she isn't able to right now (... and besides, probably wouldn't anyway)
This gives me a nice little oppotunity to tell all of you (whoever you may be) that Mari truly is the most beautiful girl on the planet. Actaully, that's putting it lightly. See, when God created the heavens and the earth and all that other stuff, He said it was good. Then He made stars and planets and said they were good. Then He made fish and birds and said they were good. Then He made some animals and said they were good.... note the progression - things are getting more and more interesting, as if He is building towards something. He starts of pretty big, creating space (which I am told is pretty large). Then stars and all that, again pretty big.
Then He starts getting a little more complicated - I've never tried making a tree, but I imagine that would be a lot of work. And then, making a cow... Dang, that must be a whole heap of work.
So, then he moves onto man. And He does a really fine job!!! So good that this time He says what He made was very good....
However, He didn't make both man and woman at the first time. He made Adam before He made Eve. Why? Same reason why He made trees before cows. He started with something good, and then moved on to something better.
Or, in other words, Eve was the best thing that God to possibly think up. She was God's greatest idea. As John Eldridge says, she is the Crown of Creation.
So, bringing that back to Mari... God has been working at it for years and years now, so He has had a whole heap of practice. Looking at Mari, and I can't help but think that when she was born God was saying to Himself... 'DANG!!! This one is good'!!!
Or, in other words, Mari truly is the most beautiful thing that God could possibly think up!!!! Oh, and I love her so, so much!!!!
So, there you go, I'm madly in love with Mari and am so excited to spend the rest of my life with her!!!
God bless y'all
Jon

Top ten...something.....??
I got the tip to make top ten lists on my blog. But if I were to write a top ten list, what would I do it on?? The many books I own but never read? You know, I could include some I made it half way through...
Maybe music! ...well, no...I like too many different styles of music for that. I would only have a heap of 1's.
Top ten actors?? HAHAAA!!! I don't even know the names of half of the actors from the movies I own!! (And that's actually not many at all!)
Top ten foods?? Weell...not like that would be very interesting...
So, I'm not sure this top ten list idea is the best for me...
Dang, this blog turned out boring...oh well...I could put in a picture! Here you go.

I miss Darjeeling!!!! Take me back there!!! These kids were SO awesome!!
Well, that's all.
Later!

Napoleon dynamite!!
Okey, so, it's official...'Napoleon dynamite' rocks my world! If you've never seen the movie, you just have to! It's about....umm.....nothing! But it's definately a love/hate movie. Either you LOVE it, or you HATE it... The 'grey zone' only exists the first time you watch it, so it should be watched twice, for you to actually figure out wether you like this genious movie or not.
If you're coming to visit Stranda before june (or you live here...), I suggest you pop by, and watch it with us. I mean, I've got pink napoleon dynamite socks, and 'Napoleon Dynamite -Like, the best special edition ever!' on my shelf, so I'm ready any time!
Oh, and by the way, if you've seen 'napoleon dynamite', and hated the 'plot' (there isn't one, really), but loved the humor, you should watch 'benchwarmers'! Same humor, but WITH a plot!! How amazng is that!?!!
Smell ya later!

The travelling doorbell...
I now live in the building of my church, so I have to have the front door closed at all times, since people can walk around in the house without me noticing. A few weeks ago, I bought a doorbell, so that people who don't have my phone number can come visit me too! it was a wireless doorbell, and I had to stick it on the glass door with tape. You know, that kind that is sticky on both sides, and is really strong - made for outdoor use.
Every second wednesday we run our youth ministry down in the basement, and we were doing this the same wednesday that we had the funeral of one of our previous elders. Because of the funeral earlier that day, there was a girl called Malene who was visiting. Malene also wanted to check out the youth ministry before driving back south. While she was here, some guys stole my doorbell and stuck it on a random car, parked in front of the door... This car turned out to be Malene's car, but the boys didn't know this. By that time, Malene was late for a ferry, so she left in a hurry...yes...WITH my doorbell stuck on her car...
Somewhere on her way home, she discovers the doorbell, and sees by the name tag; it's mine. In the meantime, I have discovered that my doorbell is missing, and I'm pretty annoyed. The doorbell was not that expensive, but it's still money...the church's money. Besides, I would have to drive for an hour or so, including a ferry, to get a new one. So I'm praying to God that He would help me fix the problem. Someone randomly going to the city, someone finding a doorbell or having one in a closet somewhere... just some solution to the problem. The next week, an other girl, Ingvild, who couldn't come to the funeral because of examinations in school, comes to visit.
Then, one day, she comes up to me and tells me there was this girl at the airport in Oslo (Oslo is far from here...) who came and gave her something to give to me, and she pulls my doorbell out of her pocket. Shocked at what I was seeing, I just couldn't say anything. What the heck had happened???
Finally she tells me the story, that Malene and her are good friends, and decided to meet up at the airport, where Ingvild was waiting for her plain, since Malene was in the area. The doorbell got handed over, and finally brought back to me.
You can call it a coinsidence if you want, I call it a Godinsidence.

Yet another kinda pointless update....
What do people really write in these blog things?? I mean, I don't travel around at the moment, so even if I find my life quite exciting, it's the same thing that happens every week. Youth ministry, kids ministries, bible stufy group, worship team, work at the kindergarden, and a bit of preching from time to time, is what keeps me busy, and now it's less than 19 days until Jon arrives!!!! Yesssss.....!

Complains...
So, I've gotten some complains about how bad I am at updating this thing... Well, I never said I am good at this...
Aaanyhow...
I just had three girls visiting, who I went to boarding school with. SO much fun!!! And then Benedicte came (a girl who's presently a student at the boarding school). She's staying over night with me! wohoo! Fun! I like having people over. And I like making coffee for them.
I like Jon too. ...and brownies...
Who ever you are, you who read this, Bless you!

I've got it!!
In Norway we've got something we call a toast iron... I haven't seen it anywhere else, so I don't know what you call them, but anyways... What I figured out though, is this: You take two slices of good bread (preferably not white... I said good bread, right...) and you put chocolate spread on both of them. Like Nutella or something. Then you put some slices of brown cheese (preferably the dark one) on one of the slices (...yes...on top the chocolate...) and you just mash the two slices together, put a bit of butter on the outside of the sandwich (if you can call this a sandwich...) and you squeese it in the taoster iron thingy, so it all just melts. .....mmMMmmmm.....I'm druling....and I just ate one too! wow.

Sooo...
Today has been a really lazy day. Niiice... :o)
I've basically done nothing! Well, that's not quite true really. I did make dinner. And I ate it. Wow. That's quite some work... Now I'm exhausted. I think I'll write more later.

YO!....
Well, so....I'm here again. I'll now try keeping this blog somewhat up to date...we'll see how it goes though...hehe.
Today I'm filling in application forms like nothing else. And I have to say, this is the most difficult aplication form I have ever filled in, but I'm sure it's worth it, so that makes it easier.
Hey, click here to have a look at the school me and Jon are aplying for!
Smell ya later!
